Members of the board, the Superintendent, the Board Secretary and Board Attorney met on October 8, 2020 to engage in goal setting for both the district and the board of education. The board is to be commended for completing their self evaluation which reflects a board that is engaged, and collaborative in fulfilling their role as a board of education. 

After discussion, the Board and the Superintendent reached agreement on district goals for the 2020-2021 school year.


To improve academic achievement through equitable and effective learning practices and prepare students for success in the 21st century in all modalities- in person, hybrid or virtual.

Continue to implement, communicate, and monitor a plan that provides for the social-emotional needs and safety of students and staff.

Implement a strategic communication plan to engage stakeholders.

Build a district wide culture that is accepting and appreciative of diversity, promotes equitable opportunities, reduces bias and supports an inclusive learning environment.

Develop and implement a Long Range Plan to address staffing, facilities, and budgeting due to declining enrollment and funding in our school district.


Continue to work to expand communication with and engagement of our community to foster dialogue.

Continue to pursue professional development as a Board by becoming a certified Board of Education and additionally support individual board members in engaging in training opportunities.
